help ! Don't understand my readings

I am desperately struggling to understand our readings. Flipping from article to article to hopefully catch something I can understand.
I am so confused with "The Tragedy of the Commons"!
I have not gotten any viable information COCO?
I am bummed but yet willing get feedback or info.
