Occupy Wall Street

Okay I checked out the Occupy Wall Street official website. I am starting to understand the point. I actually agree with their argument, and it does look like they did have some impressive numbers and turn-outs. Here is the thing, I do agree with Jake. Though the protests was a good start, and an outstanding show of solidarity, but the real change needs to come from the inside. What I mean is that leadership should probably be established, and coordinated boycotts should be planned. I do not think that the powers that be are going to be too swayed by a camp-out. I feel that hitting them where it really hurts, profit-margins, is what will catch their attention. Like the Anti-Apartheid boycotts of yesteryear. I do think the "99%", which I fall under, have a legitimate grievance. But their claim of total restructure of the economy system, and the belief of the removal of politicians is far-fetched and unrealistic. Wasn't that one one of the "SMART" goals, realistic? I believe that the movement should restructure and start smaller, not "world revolution". That seems impracticable and naive. But then again the Civil Rights movement seemed far-fetched at the time I am sure.
